· School lunch and breakfast prices for the 2010 - 2011 school year will be: Lunch: Regular weekly lunch tickets: $8.00($1.60 a day) Reduced weekly lunch tickets: $2.00 Tickets are sold by the WEEK only on Mondays. Cold lunch milk $.30 Breakfast: Regular price: $.90 per day Reduced price $.30 per day Breakfast may be purchased daily. . Checks should be made payable to “Hillside Cafeteria.”Applications for free and reduced lunch will be issued on the first day of school. Applications should be returned to the office for approval the first week of school. · The following classes have been assigned lockers: Grade 4: Mrs. Carrier, Ms. Gagnon All Grade 5 & Grade 6 classrooms Students should purchase a lock to secure their locker contents. · All 3rd Grade classrooms, as well as Mrs. Murphy’s and Mrs. Roberge’s 4thGrade classrooms, have storage cubbies for their students in the classroom. · The "locked door" policy will continue for the safety of our children and the faculty. The main entry for Hillside School is in the courtyard off of Willard St. All visitors are required to sign in at the principal’s office and receive a VISITORS PASS. Once again, we thank you for your cooperation as we continue this safety measure. · Effective immediately, we will be accepting registrations for new students for grades 3, 4, 5, 6 attending Hillside Elementary School from 9:00 - 12:00, and 1:00 - 3:00 in the principal's office. We are located on Hillside Avenue - second floor. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate and record of immunization for the registration. Call the Hillside Office at 752-5328 with questions or for more information. · SAU#3 and the Family Resource Center at Gorham are continuing to offer an after school program for Hillside School. The program will run from the end of school until 5:00, five days a week, starting September 7th. Transportation home is included. The programs will be designed to work closely with classroom teachers and will supplement the curriculum and provide students with creative ways to build their learning skills. The program will offer snacks, homework help, enrichment activities, and outdoor play. A small fee will be charged for participation, but no student will be turned away because of inability to pay. Please contact Jan Millis, After School Project Director, at 466-5190 for more information or to reserve a place for your child. Ms. Lindsey Demers will be the Hillside After School Program coordinator again this year. Applications may be picked up in the school office.
